It's the first I've read about any of Edgar Cayce's work in 20 years. I'd forgotten how his version of a Christian mindset is more about levels of consciousness and how it is all about energy and it's developmental process over the course of time. Most of us have met a person or two that feels deeply familiar to us and Cayce would say that we have been together in other human situations before--it feels true. It was a most enjoyable read and makes me think about my patterns of behavior, my collections of talents and vulnerabilities, along with the people and circumstances of this lifetime and how some of it has felt eerily familiar. Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records for me at least, this book was comparatively difficult to process. the book on "Edgar Cayce on Reincarnation and Family Karma" was an easier read.i purchased the Kindle version of "Edgar Cayce and the Akashic Records." the format errors described by several reviewers were exaggerated. a person would have to be fairly delicate to be unable to get through these minor errors. for me they weren't an issue at all.it is the idea of the Akashic Records that i have found difficult to wrap my head around, and reading this book didn't resolve that for me. they remain a nebulous concept at best. my plan had been to get a good grasp of the Records from this ebook, and to then follow up with the audiobook. but the records themselves supposedly aren't even in words, rather some type of symbolic representations. if that is the case, who can be trusted to 'read' and interpret them, if the only way they can be 'read' is psychically? which would indicate to me that the Records aren't literal. and yet, they might be the most real thing in the universe!it was a pretty good read on a topic that my brain still interprets as fictional. i remain unconvinced. and if the Akashic Records are real, who could i possibly trust to access my records on my behalf? ten psychics might provide ten interpretations, because accessing them appears to be largely subjective. i wasn't seeking to be a skeptic, so am disappointed.
